Surfer Huessenstamm to Endorse Hot Tuna
NEW YORK – Surfing champ Bron Heussenstamm has signed a multiyear agreement to endorse Hot Tuna apparel and participate in event production, marketing and product development.
The multifaceted role with the surfing brand would seem to suit Heussenstamm, who received a degree in business entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California.

“I’m so stoked to be back in water full-time, and to be associated with a brand and product line I really believe in,” Heussenstamm said in a statement. “I think this is the first time in history that a pro surfer gets to compete and also use his business degree to help build a brand.”
The affiliation with kick off with Heussenstamm’s appearance at the British Professional Surfing Association’s Hot Tuna “Summer of ‘69” Surf Championship in St. Ives, Cornwall, this weekend. With a media profile already boosted by his appearance with soccer legend David Beckham in Pepsi commercials, he will also be appearing in surf publications regularly on Hot Tuna’s behalf.
Alain Mazer, Hot Tuna international marketing and public relations director, said that the surfer “has a rare and requisite blend of talents: He’s a classic blond-haired Californian who surfs great, he has a phenomenal knack for business and promotions, and his relationships in Hollywood and in the pro sports world, as well as surf circles, are substantial.”
Hot Tuna, created in Australia in 1969, is based in London with offices in Sydney and, in the U.S., in Costa Mesa, CA.
