In his 13 years at the American brand, the designer has turned the label into a laboratory of sorts, where innovation is applied to pieces that are, at their core, classic American sportswear. A few clicks into any of his runway collections reveals this: über-luxe skins turned into crewneck sweatshirts, pieced bomber jackets in neoprene or nylon, suits pumped up in neon hues, and denim that’s anything-but basic once you look under the hood (or cuff, really).
