Following its New York Fashion Week collection preview and experiential pop-up shop at The Standard High Line, hospitality brand The Standard and RAISEfashion continue their partnership with a retail collaboration with RAISEfashion brand fellowship designers Àwet Woldegebriel of Àwet New York and Clarence Ruth of Cotte D’Armes.

RAISEfashion, is a non-profit advisory network of fashion industry leaders, including Carlie Cushnie, Roopal Patel, April Hennig, Elizabeth Von der Goltz, Alexa Geovanos and others dedicated to advancing the equity of BIPOC talent by providing individualized mentorship, resources, and access. Together, the organizations shine a spotlight on the outstanding work of 20 emerging designers through RAISEfashion’s esteemed Brand Fellowship Program. Of these 20 emerging brands, Àwet New York and Cotte D’Armes have launched a retail collaboration with The Standard.

The Standard tapped Àwet New York, a brand whose core values and thoughtfully sourced designs are driven by community, to create a custom version of their beloved G. District Hoodie. Created in the New York City garment district, the inspiration behind the product shares alignment with the pioneering hotel group which has cemented itself as an iconic landmark in New York City. The off-white, co-branded hoodie is made with a custom blend of world class cotton fibers, a silk sheen finish, and finished with red detailing, inspired by the classic Standard brand colors.

Inspired by the classic New York City Skyline, The Standard has also teamed up with Cotte D’Armes to create a custom varsity jacket. This preeminent varsity jacket features the New York City skyline on a warm red wool background. The jacket is lined with quilted interiors, cream and red ribbed knitting on contrasting cream leather sleeves and features an embossed 1999 graphic commemorating the launch year of the iconic Standard brand.

With this collaboration, The Standard is proud to showcase each designer’s distinctive perspectives and artistic visions. This continued collaboration between RAISEfashion and The Standard signifies the brand’s ongoing commitment to diversity, creativity, inclusivity and elevating BIPOC brands and talent.

Both items are available for purchase online via The Standard Shop and at “The Shop” at The Standard, High Line.
