TIMO WEILAND OPENS FIRST SHOP AT CFDA’S NEW RETAIL LAB
The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and Cadillac have opened Retail Lab, a mentorship and training program that gives fashion designers a real-world education in retail, including a rotating retail space at Cadillac House. The first edition of Retail Lab features fashion designer Timo Weiland and will be open to the public from now through September.
The shop features exclusive merchandise, including a curated collection of eyewear from Zenni and select “see now, buy now” from this month’s Timo Weiland runway collection at New York Fashion Week: Men’s. Timo Weiland also collaborated with Vista Allegre on a curated assortment of tabletops to meet the lifestyle of the Timo Weiland man and woman that will only be available at Retail Lab.
In addition, the store features several innovative retail elements such as Axis cameras equipped with Prism heat-mapping technology, and KWI’s sophisticated POS systems that provide participating designers with access to valuable sales and customer analytics.
Retail Lab is also supported by the industry leaders including the Italian fixture company Alu, mannequins from DK Display, hangers from Henry Hangers, packaging from BrandArt, Capital Contracting and Design, Infinite Group, and Dynamic Resources.
Retail Lab is located within Cadillac House at 330 Hudson Street in New York. The store will be open 7 days a week from 11AM – 7PM.
