TOMMY BAHAMA TO OFFER COLLECTOR’S EDITION SHIRT HONORING DAVID ORTIZ
Tommy Bahama and Major League Baseball will honor one of baseball’s most celebrated players with the release of the 2016 “Collector’s Edition” Series shirt featuring Boston Red Sox superstar David “Big Papi” Ortiz. The shirt pays tribute to the three-time World Series Champion and nine-time All-Star ahead of the final season of his career.
The 2016 David Ortiz “Collector’s Edition” Series shirt will be produced in limited quantities and will retail for $250, beginning in mid-March. The front of the silk-print showcases a classic image of Ortiz hitting a home run out of Fenway Park. The Red Sox logo, Ortiz’s signature, the number 34 and his silhouette are also embroidered onto the shirt, while the back of the shirt features his career highlights and awards against the backdrop of Fenway Park’s iconic Green Monster. A woven label inside the collar shows the classic pose Ortiz strikes after each home run he hits. The shirt comes in a custom designed garment bag to be treasured as a fine collectible.
Tommy Bahama will also host a special event in the coming week with Oritiz at the Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Bar & Store in Naples, Florida, and additional events are being planned for the 2016 baseball season.
