Tommy Fazio, fashion director for the company’s men’s trade shows including Project and MRket, has left UBM Fashion.

Fazio spent more than six years with the trade show company, which was bought earlier this year by Informa plc, a British trade show firm that spent more than $5 billion to buy UBM in January.

Fazio had worked for UBM and its predecessor companies (i.e. Advanstar) for six years and held roles including vice president of retail fashion, president, and fashion director of the UBM Fashion Group. Most recently, as fashion director, he was charged with directing trends, merchandising and brand support for the men’s market for all the shows.

Prior to joining UBM Fashion, Fazio served as men’s fashion and trend director for Nordstrom, president of Simon Spurr, and men’s fashion director for Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.

“Tommy Fazio has been a leader in the Fashion community overseeing the Men’s portfolio for the past 6 years,” Informa said in a statement. “He was the visionary behind the launch of the designer show The Tents, which brings together the most prominent brands, retailers and press in the high-end contemporary marketplace. In addition, Tommy oversaw Project, MRket, and The Collective and has been instrumental in creating a platform to support menswear designers. We know that Tommy will continue to make a positive impact in fashion industry.”
