TRACKSMITH LAUNCHES RUN COMMUTE COLLECTION

by Stephen Garner

Tracksmith has launched its first-ever “Run Commute” collection –– a line of activewear essentials that make it easy to commute on foot to the office, or just when you want to get in those extra weekday miles until things re-open.

Made from Merino wool with support from The Woolmark Company, the performance running brand’s new collection was designed for a city commute, with an eye towards convenience and versatility. Taking advantage of Merino’s natural performance properties, Tracksmith custom-developed a Merino wool stretch woven fabric to create a suite of bodywear essentials perfect for a double day of running. All pieces offer the quick-drying properties of Merino wool and feature thoughtful details to make carrying essentials even easier.

Styles like the Harrier Tee and Tank are lightweight, ultra-breathable, and won’t smell no matter how much you sweat – thanks to Merino’s ability to naturally release odors. While the Run Commute Jacket and Pants are designed for maximum versatility, offering tailored details and highly technical designs. Features include a meshed lined back vent for added airflow and a vertical zip pocket to securely store a phone, card, or key while running.

Additional styles in the collection include shorts that offer a water-resistant and 4-way stretch fabrication, Brighton Base Layer Tank that’s both breathable and ideal for layering when temps get cooler, and merino briefs and boxers for men that provide lightweight comfortable wear. All pieces in the collection were tested on the roads in New York and London by commuters Meggie Sullivan and Leon Cerrone.

The Run Commute collection, which retails between $25 and $198, is now available on tracksmith.com.
