VERSACE JOINS FORCES WITH RAPPER 2 CHAINZ ON CAPSULE

Italian fashion house Versace has teamed up on American rapper 2 Chainz on a special sneaker.

Dubbed the “2 Chain Reaction”, the collaboration will be presented in the rapper’s hometown of Atlanta during the weekend of February 1.

The most elevated Chain Reaction silhouette to-date, the new ‘2 Chain Reaction’ juxtaposes Versace’s heritage with 2 Chainz’ ethos. The sneakers boast some of the familiar elements of the Chain Reaction – the unmissable chain-link sole, Greca details and braille lettering – while introducing new features such as an embossed croc neoprene collar with dual zip closure. The zippers are connected by a nylon strap for easy one handed open and close function.

The limited-edition sneakers come in a branded box and bag featuring the ‘2 Chain Reaction’ logo and are accompanied by a ready-to-wear capsule collection. The capsule of men’s athleisure wear is also designed in collaboration with 2Chainz and will be available exclusively in the USA.

The collaboration will launch in a pop-up boutique in Atlanta’s Wish Gallery from February 1 to February 3 and on Versace.com. The sneaker will be dropping in the Versace Phipps Plaza boutique that week and become globally available on February 8.
