The Webster Store in Soho New York CityMiami-based specialty retailer The Webster has opened its much-anticipated flagship boutique in New York City. This marks the fifth location of the luxury retailer, which started its expansion outside of Miami last year with the opening of locations in Costa Mesa, California and Houston, Texas.

Located at 29 Greene Street in the heart of SoHo, the 12,000-square-foot, six-story boutique features several key milestones for the luxury retailer: separate floors to highlight the ultra-curated selection of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections, the debut of baby and children’s wear, a dedicated shoe salon, an assortment of exclusive made-to-measure home furnishing pieces, and a private penthouse with an outdoor terrace—complete with sweeping views of the city skyline—that will be used for VIP client services and intimate in-store events.

Bringing Paris to New York, the fifth floor is home to a full-service salon by legendary hairstylist David Mallett, offering cut, color, and styling. This location marks Mallett’s third salon, the first-ever outside of Paris, and will also offer his full range of haircare and styling products.

Located within a historical landmark building completed in 1878, founder and CEO of The Webster Laure Heriard Dubreuil collaborated with designer Christopher Osvai on the multi-level boutique, which features distinctive design elements such as marble terrazzo flooring, vintage floral and geometric wallpapers, velvet serpentine banquets, and aubergine metal and glass vitrines that nod to the construction of the New York City subway. The design incorporates unique elements such as salvaged wood beams original to the building and a custom cast iron and rondel glass sidewalk.

The Webster Store in Soho New York CityA mix of finely curated antiques and custom furniture that embody the residential style of The Webster will be on display, as well as site-specific installations ranging from a life-size bronze flamingo by New York artist Rogan Gregory, a large scale verre églomisé wall painting by Miriam Ellner, as well as one-of-a-kind works from Aaron Young, Nate Lowman, Adam McEwen, Nada Debs, Katie Stout and Gaetano Pesce.

The boutique offers a unique mix of various men’s, women’s and accessory brands including: Acne Studios, Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Balmain, Chanel, Chloe, Dior, Givenchy, Gucci, Haider Ackermann, J.W. Anderson, Loewe, Maison Michel, Mark Cross, Marni, Pierre Hardy, Raf Simons, The Row, Stella McCartney, Thom Browne, Valentino, Vetements, and many more.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to restore such a special building within the artistic and culturally rich neighborhood of SoHo,” said Heriard Dubreuil. “Not only is New York my home and one of my favorite cities, but it’s also the source of so much of my inspiration. This project has been a true labor of love, and I’m thrilled to share The Webster’s immersive shopping experience with such discerning clientele.”
