Abercrombie & Fitch Names Christos Angelides President

Abercrombie & FitchAbercrombie & Fitch Co. has hired Christos Angelides as president of its Abercrombie & Fitch and abercrombie kids brands. He starts in October and will report to CEO Mike Jeffries.

Angelides, 51, comes to Abercrombie & Fitch from U.K.-based fast-fashion chain Next, where he has been group product director since 2000.

“We are excited to welcome Christos to the Abercrombie & Fitch team and to deepen our bench of senior leadership talent,” said Jeffries. “Christos brings 28 years of experience working with a multi-billion dollar international retailer. His experience with all aspects of running a business made him the perfect candidate for this newly created role. Christos’ appointment is a critical step in our long-term strategy of being organized to win and we are excited to welcome him to the Abercrombie team.”

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. operates about 842 stores in the U.S. and 157 stores abroad.

  1. About time to look at real men . Also the darkness and perfume was a turn off for me every time I passed their stores. I am glad that it is going back to its former glory days.
