EDITOR’S PICKS: THE 3 MAJOR TRENDS FROM PROJECT LAS VEGAS

With so much to see in three days, MR‘s editorial team scoured Project to find the most stylish, colorful, innovative, and luxurious apparel and accessories on display. Through our own research, and speaking with some knowledgeable retailers, we chose to highlight the following three trends that resonated the strongest with us this season. Take a look at what we found!

Elevated Casual Sportswear

Simply combine high with low, elegance with ease: one luxury item (a lightweight cashmere sweater, an Italian softcoat) with your favorite hoodie, your softest five-pocket stretch trousers, a jogging pant, a quilted jacket. The goal is to look comfortable but not disheveled. Stick with neutrals and the look will take you anywhere. Add a touch of color and you’re camera-ready. So, smile!

Athletic Lifestyle

Nowadays, men are mixing different “lifestyle” items that have an athletic twist, like track pants or hoodies, with more dressed up pieces like structured top coats or dress pants. The resurgence of color and logos also play a big part in this trend. Lots of room for fun to be had playing with this trend!

Military

[metaslider id=”144173″] Yes, we know, this isn’t necessarily a new or groundbreaking trend. But, we did see its influences everywhere this season. From camouflage showcased on just about every item, to military-styled topcoats, and cargo pockets galore. This trend will definitely resonate with the guys that love the tried-and-true menswear items.
