ELYSE KROLL’S ‘FROM FASHION, WITH LOVE’ TO START DONATING TO NURSES TOMORROW

Founder and former CEO of ENK International, Elyse N. Kroll, has formed a not-for-profit effort, entitled From Fashion, With Love (FFWL) that will offer gift bags to nurses temporarily housed in hotels across the country. There are approximately 2,500 nurses in temporary residences in New York City as of now.

Launching tomorrow, April 28th, the organization will offer gift bags to 800 nurses temporarily housed at the New Yorker Hotel, located at 418 Eighth Avenue and 34th Street, in the hotel’s Bank Room at 5pm. Over 40 brands, including Faherty, Michael Stars, Rhone, Joe’s, Richard Dayhoff, Stone Rose, Surfside Supply, and more are involved. Gifted items include footwear, athleisure clothing, pajamas, lingerie, accessories, and beauty products.

“I have access to fashion,” said Kroll. “Why not provide nurses who have temporary residences in NYC hotels with gift bags of clean, fresh, comfortable clothing and/or footwear that they can get into after a gut-wrenching day or night in the hospital? Let them leave their hospital shoes in the hall, pull on a pair of fresh clean socks, a new pair of sweatpants, a comfy T-shirt, and so on…”

Added Kroll, “Proudly, I stand with Fashion and the brands who are willing to help our heroes by donating product so that our nurses can feel just a little more human when they arrive back at their hotel. FFWL would not have happened without the ongoing help of RevUp Consulting, and The New Yorker Hotel, where we have been welcomed by their staff volunteering to help every step of the way. And I’m so grateful to my former ENK International associates who are donating time, skill and effort when asked so that From Fashion, With Love can flourish.”

FFWL is a division of a sponsor Foundation which has applied for charitable status. Instructions for all shipments can be found on the FFWL website. From Fashion, With Love staff will be onsite to accept shipments and distribute. The initial goal is to fill and distribute 2,500 gift bags, a small way fashion can share their love, appreciation, and gratitude.
