GLENN AU LAUNCHES HIS OWN MEN’S CLOTHING BUSINESS IN PHILADELPHIA

After more than a two-month delay, Glenn Au has launched his own menswear business called Junior’s.

Working by-appointment-only in the Philadelphia metro area, Au is taking Junior’s to client’s offices, home consultations, or future pop-up dates at Center City hotels. Au mentions that he will be launching an e-commerce experience for the fall season and plans to have a storefront in the future.

Started in February 2020 by Au, Junior’s is the culmination of 8 years of experience in the men’s clothing industry. With stops along the way including O’Connell’s in Au’s hometown of Buffalo, New York, and most recently at H. Stockton in Atlanta, Georgia, Au has learned from the best haberdasheries in the country. Paired with his passionate styling knowledge is Au’s focus on building relationships with his clients to intimately learn their preferences to assist them in creating a closet where every item of clothing is worn well.

Product selection at Junior’s is less flashy than what can be seen in the windows of your favorite shopping district store window. Its approach is more of straight-from-the-source product development with a focus on American, English, Scottish, and Italian-made goods.

Au is offering custom-fit suits, sport coats, and trousers tailored in America. He’ll also have access to ready-to-wear and made-to-measure shirts cut and sewn in the North East, as well as cloth supplied from the best English mills to promote longevity and sturdiness.

“It’s been a career-long dream of mine to someday start my own clothing business,” said Au. “Junior’s wasn’t supposed to be born out of the pandemic but it made me learn early on the type of nimbleness that goes into owning a business. It has only helped me learn faster, become smarter, and be more driven to succeed.”

The launch of Junior’s also comes with the pleasure of simultaneously caring for his nine-month-old son with his wife who is now working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
