Liverpool JeansLos Angeles-based denim brand Liverpool Jeans, which officially debuted its men’s division at Project NY this week, has tapped industry veterans Michael Crespy, Brenda Malkin, and Gary Lowy for its national sales team.

Crespy will serve as West Coast Sales Representative for key accounts and specialty stores. His career has spanned over 30 years from menswear buyer at Saks Fifth Avenue to heading sales for brands such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace Classic, and Lubiam. He was most recently a partner at International Laundry.

Malkin joins as Midwest Sales Representative for key accounts and specialty stores. She has extensive experience as a sales executive with brands that include Hugo Boss, Tommy Bahama, Guess, New Man, Travis Mathew, and Wellicious. She was most recently with J. Lindeberg.

Lowy comes onboard as Northeast Sales Representative for key accounts and specialty stores. He has served the industry as a buyer and general merchandise manager at Field Brothers through the 1970’s & 1980’s and served as VP at Marzotto USA and president of American Fashion, bringing him experience with a spectrum of brands including Studio 000.1 by Ferre, Missoni Uomo, Principe di Marzotto, Richerche di Enrico Coveri, Terzo Uomo, LeBaron and Jhane Barnes.

“We are extremely excited to welcome them to our team,” said Mark D’Angelo, Vice President of Sales for Men’s at Liverpool. “They are highly respected professionals within our industry, having served in a variety of sales and leadership roles throughout their careers.  They have great relationships at all levels in the industry and will enhance our presentation to the retail community. I am confident they will help our company reach the next level.”

Liverpool Jeans comes to market with the same philosophy that the brand currently maintains in women’s; to offer on trend, great fitting premium quality products at non-premium prices. Demand for this category has emerged as a large white space in the market, and Liverpool is uniquely positioned to capitalize on this opportunity.

The collection can be seen at the West Coast Trend Show; Chicago Collective; Las Vegas Stitch Show (shown with women’s); The Haberdasher’s Guild Show; The Boston Collective; and at its New York Corporate Showroom.
