Macy’s Inc. says it will open two more of its new off-price concept stores in the New York area this fall, for a total of six. Macy’s Backstage stores in the Bronx and West Orange, N.J. will join the previously announced stores in Brooklyn, Queens, New Hyde Park and Huntington.

The Bronx store will be at Fordham Place in a space vacated by Sears. The West Orange store will be in the Essex Green Shopping Center, taking over part of an existing Macy’s store, which will begin its final clearance sale on June 14. All six Backstage stores will be around 30,000 sq. ft.

The Backstage stores will stock both clearance goods from Macy’s stores and off-price goods from the market.

“We continue to be very excited about the coming of Macy’s Backstage,” said Macy’s chief innovation and business development officer Peter Sachse. “Feedback we have heard from shoppers since the initial public announcement of our first four pilot locations has been enthusiastic, and our team looks forward to bringing this fresh new retail concept to life.”
