MILAN MEN’S FASHION WEEK AW/24: CORNELIANI

by Michael Macko

MR is pleased to present our recap of Milan Men’s Fashion Week for Autumn/Winter 2024/25. We could not cover all of the 60+ collections showing, so we selected the designers and brands we thought most relevant to you, our readers, if there is someone we missed who you would like to see, please leave a comment below and we will try to include them.

Corneliani

Another brand celebrating craftsmanship and highlighting this season was Corneliani, whose presentation featured four tables, each showing the four main steps in constructing a jacket: pattern cutting, basting, assembly, and sewing, intertwining the weft of tradition with the warp of modernity.

For this collection lightness and comfort take center stage, expressed in the contemporary silhouettes and a natural color palette of earth tones spiced up with the charm of mid-tones such as lavender, brandy, whiskey, and cognac.

With Stefano Grazioso Tramonti as the GM and style director overseeing the Corneliani collection, we are seeing the brand evolve to address the needs of its evolving customers while maintaining its sartorial heritage. This is evident with a slighter fuller silhouette and sense of volume, which is presented in all classifications, outerwear was shown in both short and long versions, trousers are both narrow at the bottom or exploding with wide and flowing hems, and the over-shirt or shirt-jacket was included as a new silhouette.

The overall unlined construction of the collection is highlighted by seaming which defines the constructions and the garments which were crafted for layering beyond the specific season they were designed for, truly a collection for the ages.
