INTRODUCING: MR STYLE – MAISON KITSUNÉ
Like anyone in our industry, sometimes we see a collection that particularly excites us, and while I walked Want Agency with our web editor Stephen, we were similarly struck. Designed by co-founders and creative directors Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki, Maison Kitsuné’s SS16 collection featured many of the motifs that we’ve come to love: striking use of color, this season skewing more traditionally fall, like burgundy, mustard and olive, and bold use of patterns, like geometric, floral, paisley and stripes, with their signature fox logo appearing in unexpected ways.
We teamed up with noted photographer Menelik Puryear, whose clients include Cadet and Burkman Bros, to shoot this, the first in the series. We cast Soul Artist Management models Tarik Lakehal and Kris Koslop, borrowed bikes from Pure Fix Cycles and spent the day riding around Red Hook.
