PAUL & SHARK DEBUTS NEW COLLECTION WITH GREG LAUREN IN PARIS

For their second collaborative collection together, Italian company Paul & Shark and Los Angeles-based designer Greg Lauren team up for to reflect on the different facets of the modern active lifestyle.

Inspired by Paul & Shark’s deep connection with the sea world, classic menswear shapes are turned upside-down and reinvented. Paul & Shark’s signature luxury materials and manufacturing techniques are reinterpreted to reflect Lauren’s artisanal approach infused with artistic, nomadic, and Bohemian flare.   

In this collection, Paul & Shark’s long-lasting knitwear tradition is re-imagined. A knitted tailored suit, injected with an ultimate sense of ease, is the chic uniform of the cool cosmopolitan dandy of today, who stands out from the crowd in the sunny streets of L.A. or in the sparkling Parisian night. Packing for the weekend, he chooses deconstructed overalls and coats, as well as kimono-like cardigans and ponchos, revealing classic fisherman sweater-inspired patterns, to wrap around the body while gazing up into the night sky.

Sporty cotton pieces, infused with an updated preppy attitude, which combine classic striped rugby shirts and heritage sweaters are also infused throughout the line.

In a nod to American preppy lifestyle, the duo plays with the traditional striped and plaid poplin cotton shirts, which they manipulate to create cool silhouettes, such as kimono jackets and boxy work shirts they match with destroyed denim and knitted baggy shorts.
