UNIQLO TO RELEASE LATEST LINE DESIGNED BY CHRISTOPHE LEMAIRE

by Stephen Garner

Japanese fast-fashion retailer Uniqlo will launch its fall/winter Uniqlo U collection next week.

This latest collection of progressive essentials from the Christophe Lemaire-led design team at the Uniqlo Paris R&D Center represents a commitment to reinventing basics and features sophisticated designs that make it easy for wearers to stay stylish in diverse situations.

One new item in the collection is classically styled men’s duffle coats made of BlockTech, a soft fabric that is waterproof, windproof, and breathable for outstanding comfort. This season sees the introduction of check patterns in Uniqlo U BlockTech coats for both men and women. They are in exquisite refined hues to add a splash of brightness on dark winter days.

Men’s fleece jackets are reversible this season; they feature a nylon outer in modern tonal shades and a water-repellent lining. For women, there are oversized boa fleece shirts that can be worn with or without a fleece belt. Also new are men’s fleece wool-blend overshirts that can serve as light winter jackets, or as a thermal middle layer under coats when temperatures drop.

The full lineup of 41 items for women, 35 for men, and three bags and accessories will be available on September 23rd at the brand’s Fifth Avenue store in New York City as well as online, and on September 26th at all other locations.
