NEW YORK FASHION WEEK: MEN’S ANNOUNCES NEW SHOW DATES AND VENUE
New York Fashion Week: Men’s will now take place February 1-4 2016 at Skylight Clarkson North, a change from Skylight Clarkson Square where they were held this past July. The original dates for this season’s upcoming shows were originally announced to be January 28-31 2016
As previously reported by MR, the Capsule and Liberty trade shows moved their dates to coincide with the event’s prior schedule. However, as Mark Beckham, the business director of fashion week for the Council of Fashion Designers of America, which organizes the event, told MR, “The dates were adjusted due to the European show and market schedule which runs through the end of January.”
As far as who will be showing in February, the roster has yet to be completed. “Applications will go out next week and we are expecting approximately 50 shows on the official New York Fashion Week: Men’s schedule,” said Beckham. “We’re expecting most of the brands to return with a few new additions.”
Beckham adds, “We are excited about continuing the momentum from July by providing a world class platform for American menswear designers to show their fall/winter collections.”
